Super Sundays Pickup Lacrosse

We're bringing the Summer magic to Fall! Play short, high intensity small sided, cross-field games against players from all over and compete for the top spot in our fun skills competitions!

Small-sided games means more touches, more decisions, and faster improvement. We provide the venue -- you decide what to work on!

Our skills competitions include:

  • Fastest shot
  • Longest pass
  • Goalie Wars
  • Queens of the Field
  • Battleship

Rising freshman, graduated seniors, and high school players of all skill levels are welcome.

NOTE: A USA Lacrosse membership is required.

Registration fee is $90 for 9 sessions, or pay the drop-in pricing of $15 per session (two session minimum). Reversible practice jersey included!

Formats

Pickup Games

Pickup games will be played on up to three small fields, arranged 'crossways' on the main field. Each field is about 60x30 yards.

Games will start with a draw, then continue with goalie clears after goals or saves (similar to 7v7 formats).

Games will play for a maximum of 8 minutes, with a new game starting every 10 minutes.

There will be no substitutions during games -- they're too short!

Skill Competitions

Skill competitions test specific skills, including:

  • Longest pass, i.e., an accurate pass to a goalie over distance.
  • Fastest shot, measured with a radar gun.
  • Goalie Wars, where goalies save shots from the other goalie. (From a distance!)

Queens of the Field

Queens of the Field is series of short games played around single cages. Winning teams advance clockwise to the "top" cage; losing teams move anti-clockwise to the "bottom" cage.

When the final game is played, who will be the Queens of the Field?

Battleship

Teams compete to complete all of their objectives before the clock runs out. Who will complete all of their team goals first and 'sink' the other team's battleship?

Schedule

We will have nine Super Sunday sessions, organized in cycles of three weeks.

  • Pickup games run every week.
  • Skill competitions will run once in each three week cycle.

Location and Times

Super Sundays will run on Sunday mornings, following the Titans Tournament team practice.

The location is still being finalized, but we expect to be at either College Park HS or Ygnacio Valley HS.
